In addition to demonstration and explanation from the instructor, participants will have a chance for guided hands-on learning. Please bring pruning tools if you have them.
All classes will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on a Sunday:
February 19th – “Backyard Pruning” Led by instructor Libby Cook, this class is intended for the home gardener wishing to learn techniques for managing small to medium size fruit trees. Location: Near Eastsound
February 26th – “Reclaiming Old Orchards”
Led by Instructor Joe Bullock. Learn skills to revive old fruit trees. Near Deer Harbor
March 4th “Pruning for Production”
Led by instructor Libby Cook and hosted by Indralaya, this class focuses on a large orchard with a variety of trees at different stages.
Cost: $20/class or $50/series. You may also inquire about work trade opportunities. As space is limited, all participants must pre-register.
