The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a public meeting on Monday, February 13, 1 pm – 3 pm at the Eastsound Fire Hall for anyone interested in exploring alternative modes of transportation on Orcas Island, including shuttles, bikes, rideshare, etc.
This meeting is intended to bring people together to exchange information and hopefully create some collaboration or innovation. San Juan Islands Scenic Byways Leader Deborah Hopkins and Byway Project Coordinator Liz Illg will be on hand to talk about the alternative transportation grant recently awarded to the Byway to help explore alternative transportation options for both San Juan and Orcas Islands.
