The Orcas Island Library’s ‘Art in the Library’ program will feature the quilts of Ali Walker during the month of May.

Ali started quilting in 2010 when she took a year off of college. It has been her passion ever since. She tends to work in a more modern, organic way, playing with colors and shapes, and not following a pattern.

One of her works was recently juried into the International Quilt and Fiber Art Festival in Everett.

When she’s not quilting, you can find Ali doing cold dips in the Salish Sea or on walks with her dog Paige.
