||| FROM ROBERT WAUNCH for AIRHAWKS FLYING CLUB |||

The Airhawks Flying Club will be having our official ribbon cutting ceremony next Saturday the 19th [Note: Corrected date] at 10 a.m. at my aircraft hangar; 78A Aeroview (on the SW side of the airport).

We’ll have Douglas Kirby, the 8 year old (now 9), who went to the bank, withdrew $22 from his savings and gave it to OICF at their last Give Orcas campaign so Airhawks could purchase the simulator.  Douglas will be the first person that officially gets to fly the simulator.

We’ll also have some students from the High School and OCS as well as some other pilots to also try their hand for a short time.

We’ll have a handout about the abilities of the simulator, how we will use it for students, Club members and all the pilots in the San Juans.
