Saturday, August 26, 7:30 p.m., Orcas Center
— from Jesse Boleyn —
Following two successful concerts presented this summer at Orcas Center for the Performing Arts, venerable songwriter Jesse Boleyn is proud to invite to center stage Adey Bell in a Carnegie Hall style performance on grand piano Saturday, Aug 26 at 7:30.
The 33 year old Adey is a stunning multi-talented singer/songwriter, vocalist, pianist, film composer and actor whose one woman show is garnering fans by the thousands. She is also the star and music composer of the Indie film “The Last Avatar” premiering on Gaia TV.
Critics from Los Angeles, Denver, San Francisco and New York are touting her powerful depth of songwriting skills and vocal qualities to that of Joni Mitchell and Tori Amos. Over the past 20 years Adey has fashioned her own unique style of intelligent and seductive music into her own recognizable signature.
Adey will be performing songs from her highly acclaimed award winning first two albums along with debuting new songs never before heard in public from her third album “Silver Wheel” scheduled for international release this fall. She currently resides in Ashland, Or.
Boleyn says “I first heard Adey when she was 19 and was absolutely stunned. Songs with the grand sweep and dreamy energy of Adey just don’t come along every year – they barely come along at all. I simply call her phenomenal. Along with all the accolades of hard earned success she has remained accessible as a human being and a champion of conscious women’s movements and children music programs, embracing life’s greatest challenges head on with a powerful message. This is one performance not to be missed.”
Tickets are $20 for adults/$10 for students and available online at orcascenter.org or calling the box office at 360-376-2281. For more information on this artist please visit her website at oracle88.com.
