Local radio station KIXP and Actors Theater of Orcas Island are working together to create a live radio show that features local musical talent and comedy sketches, short plays, poetry, historical trivia and other possible delights, a la “Prairie Home Companion”…only Orcas-based!
Aiming for this fall and happening every few months at the Grange, the show would be performed with a live audience and broadcast simultaneously.
Would you like to contribute your writing, jokes, imagination and talent to this endeavor? We’re especially interested in short (5 minutes or less) audio sketches or plays based on Island life. If so, contact Kathi Ciskowski at: ontherock376@outlook.com, and/or attend a meeting at the Orcas Library community room Wed Aug 12 at 5pm.
Deadline for submissions is September 10.
