— from Janet Brownell for Art for Orcas Kids —
Remember March 2020? Well, WAY back then, AOK (Art for Orcas Kids) had planned a Garage Sale to raise funding for art classes in the public schools.
Then Covid happened and the sale was cancelled.
Art, however, continues – as does the need for funding. So OIEF/AOK is happy to announce the rescheduling of the SOCIAL DISTANCE AOK GARAGE SALE.
The sale is Friday, July 3 from 11-3 behind the Orcas Center (in back by the big dance/warehouse building). It will take place outside, with controls over the number of people and distancing between folks.
MASKS ARE REQUIRED (obviously). NO early birds. NO drop-offs of goods.
There is great stuff. And all proceeds will go to maintaining teaching artists in our schools. Come find a treasure and know that you are keeping art alive!
