TEDxOrcasIsland presenter nominations open…along with volunteer applications.

Do you have an “idea worth spreading” or know of someone that does? Is your neighbor working on something that could change the world? Know a grade school kid who does something interesting with recycled golf clubs?…. Yes?… Here’s where you can tell us about it through our TEDxOrcasIsland PRESENTER Nomination Form.

TEDxOrcasIsland will be held November 8, 2014 in Eastsound. JUMP ON IN! Event and planning information is being propagated through our Facebook page and related websites as the agenda unfolds. There will be theme discussions, structure strategy, and lots of tasks to complete. Please stay engaged through the process!

This nomination form helps us to gather information for the purpose of selecting presenters for our TEDx. We ask that you please fill the form out completely and put sincere thought into answering the questions. This may be our first opportunity to make contact with you or a person that you nominate and first impressions are so important!

The fine print… Though we are a small event, on a small Island, a TEDx event is a serious undertaking. We will likely have many more nominations than actual presentation slots available. Our curation team will do its absolute best to select the right presenter for the available slot. Nominating a person for a position does not guarantee that the nominee will have an opportunity to present, but we sincerely want to hear your suggestion even if you think the chances are slim… even small ideas are worth spreading, and any idea has the power to change the world.

All TEDx events rely on a team of volunteers to make the event happen. The organizational structure requires engagement on every level and the desire to bring your best effort to the process – this is what makes the experience AWESOME for everyone… Including you!
