Frieda Cron

This month, the Orcas Island Library features photographs of local scenes by Frieda Cron.

Nature’s creative presence has been the driving force of Frieda’s photographic expression of her maritime experience in the Pacific Northwest. Having spent more than half her life on the shores of Rosario Strait, at the confluence of Obstruction and Peavine Passes, she has had the rare opportunity to immerse herself in the many moods that the ocean presents in the inland waters of Western Washington.

This environment provides an endless array of photographic opportunities of light, color, marine mammals, birds, and a wide variety of vessels of all shapes and sizes.

Frieda hopes you will enjoy her interpretation of this dynamic and ever changing view of the Pacific Northwest.
