One of the fabulous items to be auctioned off September 3rd at this year’s Orcas Island Historical Museums’ annual auction is a South Africa Photo Safari for 2. The lucky winner will be a guest on the Zulu Nyala Game Reserve for 6 days and nights. They will have the chance to see elephants, rhinos, leopards, giraffes, hippos, zebras, nyalas, cape buffalos, kudus and many other plains game.

This dream package includes all meals and twice daily guided trips in the reserve with an experienced guide in a Land Rover. Airfare must be arranged by the purchaser. Visit www.zulunyalagroup.com/ to learn more about the Zulu Nyala Reserve.

The Auction will be this Saturday, September 3rd, on the Village Green and will include a live auction on the stage and silent auction tables by the Pioneer Museum. Bidding will begin for the silent auction at 10:00 and ends at 2:30 and the live auction action begins at 11:00 and will be over by 2:00.

In addition to the Photo Safari, there are many other popular gifts waiting to be claimed by the successful bidder. The gravel auction is always popular and this year we have 4 loads of gravel to be auctioned off. There are lots of opportunity for adventure such as whale watching trips, fishing charters, horseback riding lessons, day sailing in a classic wooden boat, touring in the Stanley Steamer and roundtrip seaplane flights to Seattle. The silent auction includes gift certificates from many local businesses and restaurants.
