Discover the floral features of this isolated meadow adjoining the southeast shoulder of Mt. Pickett with San Juan Preservation Trust Stewardship Director, Dean Dougherty.
As in many higher-elevation grasslands in the islands, encroachment by conifers and invasive species over the last century has impacted the Hogback meadow. a beautiful hike, learn about the significance of island grassland habitats and restoration efforts, and savor spectacular views of the southern archipelago.

Parking: Pt. Lawrence Rd. to Mt. Pickett Road to Orchard Falls Lane, to parking sign.
