||| FROM TATE THOMSON for THE WHALE MUSEUM |||

The Whale Museum is continuing its Summer Lecture Series with Everybody Loves a Pooping Whale: what poop can tell us about the health of the Southern Resident killer whales. Join us on July 24 at 7 p.m. at The Whale Museum for an evening of education with Dr. Deborah Giles. Learn about Wild Orca’s three-pronged approach to helping prevent the extinction of the Southern Resident killer whales (SRKW), through their Conservation Research, Strategic Advocacy, and Policy Engagement. Free and open to the public!

After that, join us for Learning about large whale entanglements through disentanglement and research on August 1 at 7 p.m. at The Whale Museum presented by Jenn Tackaberry and Doug Sandilands. The presentation will discuss efforts on the US West Coast to save individual whales and learn about the bigger picture of large whale entanglement from information collected during disentanglements and ongoing large
whale population studies. Free and open to the public!

Check out our events page at whalemuseum.org to learn about our upcoming lectures and events. Questions? Contact Tracie Merrill at 360-378-4710 ext. 23, or email tracie@whalemuseum.org.
