Due to the demand of this vital program, donations of Grocery bags are needed. The Weekend Packs for Kids program prepares child-friendly bags of food for children who have little to eat over the weekend. Over 50 grocery bags are needed each week. Each discreet bag is then filled with food stuffs such as milk, cheese & crackers, fruit, tuna or microwavable soups.
Regular full-sized grocery bags can be dropped off at the OISD Elementary School Office.
Now in its 5th year, The Weekend Packs for Kids program is made possible by dedicated volunteers, Island Market, Orcas Island Food Bank, OICF, Orcas PTSA, and YOU! Thank you!
