The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual tree lighting festivities on Saturday, December 4, starting at 3:45 p.m. Islanders and visitors can join the fun on the Village Green with hot cider and baked goodies for all in attendance.
Shortly after 4 p.m., Santa and Mrs. Claus will begin greeting the children in attendance with a treat and a toy. The Orcas Island Choral Society will entertain with a selection of holiday-themed selections. At approximately 5 p.m., the evening will be capped off with the lighting of the tree, resplendent with bright, sparkling winter lights.
“We thank the hard-working crew members of the Orcas Power & Light Cooperative for volunteering their time to string the tree with lights,” said chamber staff.“ The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce wishes everyone the happiest of holiday seasons.

I hope all who were there enjoyed our singing; I know we did as we sang. It was so thrilling to see all the folks and the kids running around and the dogs barking; it was wonderful. Thank you Orcas community for joining with us in our celebrations.
