— from Barbara Marrett, San Juan Visitors Bureau —

USA Today asked a panel of local travel experts around the nation to nominate their favorite small towns in each of five American regions: the Northeast, South, Midwest, Northwest and Southwest. For the next four weeks, we need you to vote daily for the towns you think deserve the title of Readers’ Choice Best Small Town.

Would you vote for Friday Harbor for Best Northwestern Small Town? In order to stay near the top, because Friday Harbor is tiny compared to some of these towns, we need folks to vote every day, if possible, until Apr. 24. And, you can vote from more than one device. Right now we are #6 out of 20 but were #3 at one point.

Cast your ballot once per day in each category until voting ends on Monday, April 24. The winners will be announced on Friday, April 28 at noon ET.

Please share via your social media as well. You can share from the Visitors Bureau Facebook page or Twitter account or directly from the USA Today 10Best link below.

Check out their write-up on Friday Harbor:

“The walkable and historic seaport known as Friday Harbor serves as a gateway to Washington’s spectacular San Juan Islands. The streets here are lined with wood-frame shops, art galleries, cafes, restaurants, and B&Bs; notable attractions include The Whale Museum and the San Juan Islands Museum of Art.”

Thanks for helping.
