— from Ashley King, San Juan County Parks —
Have you been by the Green lately? We are hoping that the latest re-seeding (completed by volunteers this past fall) will produce lovely grass for an exciting season ahead.
Before that season kicks off this Spring, specifically before the first mowing of the year, there is one more task the San Juan County Parks is hoping you can help with….a rock picking party! The grass restoration turned up a lot of rocks; we don’t want the lawnmower to find these when mowing starts in late March. The Parks Department is hoping for a group of up to 20 individuals that could get together and make light work of a park-wide rock pick up.
If you are interested, or know someone that might be, please contact us. We are hoping to assemble a team for a date in early/mid March that works for the whole group.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

I can help
The Park would love the help! There will be a group picking some rocks THIS Friday (March 3rd) and if needed, another group in the following week. Please contact the County Parks office via email (parks@sanjuanco.com) if you can make it this Friday or if you are interested in another time next week!
Thank you!
