We’ll need to cancel sailings and adjust the Anacortes/San Juan Islands schedule this weekend due to vessel moves.

Saturday, Feb. 28

In the afternoon, the 124-vehicle Chelan will replace the 144-vehicle Yakima as the #2 vessel. The Yakima will go out of service until late May for scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

Cancelled sailings (#2 vessel)

  • 7:30 a.m. Anacortes to Orcas and Shaw (westbound)
  • 8:55 a.m. Orcas to Shaw and Anacortes (eastbound)
  • 10:30 a.m. Anacortes to Friday Harbor (westbound)
  • 12:20 p.m. Friday Harbor to Anacortes (eastbound)
  • 1:55 p.m. Anacortes to Lopez (westbound)
  • 3:05 p.m. Lopez to Anacortes (eastbound)

Additional sailings may be cancelled pending the arrival of the 124-vehicle Chelan. We will provide updated information as it becomes available.

Adjusted sailing: The 1:35 p.m. Anacortes to Friday Harbor (westbound) sailing on the #3 Samish will stop at Lopez Island.

Reservations: Reservation holders for all sailings will be prioritized on a first-come first-served basis. Stand-by travel may be very limited or unavailable. New reservations are blocked all day. No-show fees will be waived if customers cannot travel on Saturday, Feb. 28.

Sunday, March 1

To better align with ridership, vessel positions will change to: #1 Chelan, #2 Issaquah, #3 Samish, and #4 Tillikum. There will be a 20-vehicle capacity reduction on the #2 sailings for several weeks.
