Further results of the August 7, 2018 Primary were revised at 2:59 p.m. on August 9 by the San Juan County Department of Elections. (for preliminary results, see https://results.vote.wa.gov/results/current/sanjuan/

Final tabulation will occur on August 20, 2018 and the election results will be certified on August 21, 2018.The county has 39 precincts, with 13,074 Registered Voters. Total ballots counted were 7,039, reflecting a voter turnout of  53.84%

In the United States Senator race, Maria Cantwell received 4,665 votes, equal to 69.41%
of votes cast. Her  closest competitor was Susan Hutchison, with 1,173 votes, or 17.45% of votes cast for US Senator

In the race for Congressional District 2 U.S. Representative (results here reflect only  San Juan County votes), Rick Larsen prevailed with 4,317 votes, or 68.18% of county votes. Trailing Larsen is Gary Franco with 544 votes, or 8.59%

For Legislative District 40 State Representative Pos. 1 Debra Lekanoff with 2, 571 or 41.07% of county votes, led both Alex Ramel with 1,272 (20.3% of votes); and Michael Petrish with 938 votes (14.98%).

In Legislative District 40 State Representative Pos. 2, incumbent Jeff Morris ran unopposed.

The Judicial race for Court of Appeals, Division 1, District 3 Judge Position 1, Rita Latsinova garnered 2,332 votes for 45.16%;  behind her were Cecily Hazelrigg-Hernandez with 935 votes (18.11%); and Lisa Keeler, with 858  votes (16.62%).

County Prosecutor Randy Gaylord leads challenger Nick Power by  3,524 vs. 2,743  votes, or 56.23%  vs.43.77%/

The Lopez Island School District #144 Proposition No. 1 for the Replacement of Expiring Educational Programs and Operations Levy passed with 939 or 74.76% of the vote.

Precinct races saw:

  • Heather Christensen elected Friday Harbor North Precinct Committee Officer with 60 votes of 70.59% of 85 votes counted.
  • Sharon Abreu was elected Orcas East Precinct Committee Officer with 256 votes, or 82.05% of voted counted.
