||| FROM JENNIFER KREMBS for TOWN OF FRIDAY HARBOR |||

The Town of Friday Harbor is proud to participate in the “Two Lights for Tomorrow” lighting ceremony in anticipation of next year’s celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The Town invites the community to unite in remembrance of our shared history by displaying two lights in a window for all to see on the night of April 18 from dusk until dawn.

“Two Lights for Tomorrow” is a nationwide initiative to commence the celebration of the 250th birthday of the United States of America. The famous ride of Paul Revere occurred overnight on April 18 – 19, 1775. “Two Lights for Tomorrow” commemorates that famous ride and uses the imagery of that shining light today as a uniting call to action for our citizens to celebrate and serve.

Everyone can participate! Display two lights dusk to dawn on April 18tto raise awareness and commemorate the beginning of our constant endeavor as a nation to work together for a better tomorrow.

Information can be found on the Town’s website: www.fridayharbor.org or by visiting twolightsfortomorrow.org. For more information please contact: Town of Friday Harbor, Attention: Jennifer Krembs, 60 Second St. S., P.O. Box 219, Friday Harbor, WA 98250 or clerk@fridayharbor.org.
