Dear Parents, Guardians & Staff:
OISD was notified [Friday] morning that two individuals in the Orcas Island Elementary School have tested positive for COVID-19. OISD is working closely with San Juan County Health and Community Services and the teams that are conducting the contact tracing procedures. The families and individuals determined to have been in close contact with those that tested positive will be contacted by San Juan County Health & Community Services.
We will keep you informed as the situation develops and as we receive information from San Juan County. In the meantime, please observe the recommendations set forth by the county to avoid your risk of exposure to COVID-19.
Please do everything you can when you are in public to keep a physical distance of at least 6 feet, wear a mask, and wash or sanitize hands frequently.
