Really! They want to hear from you
||| FROM WASHINGTON STATE FERRIES |||
The Washington State Transportation Commission (WSTC) is required to adjust ferry fares every two years and is seeking input from the public on fare increase alternatives. Please visit the WSTC’s website for more information about the alternatives being proposed and to leave your feedback by June 10. Thank you for your time and attention.
The safety of our customers and crew is WSF’s top priority. Please remember that all traveling customers are required to wear face coverings inside the terminal, at the tollbooth and aboard the ferry. Please also consider limiting your travel to only the most essential trips while service continues to be constrained by the pandemic. For additional travel information regarding COVID-19, visit the COVID-19 Travel Updates webpage.

No they don’t but here it is anyway. The summer surcharge should NOT apply to local residents. It is completely unfair as the ferry is our only way to get to doctor appointments and other individual needs off island. There should be provision to show our drivers license with a local address as a way to establish residency. I simply do not understand how this is so difficult. Or else figure a way to start charging people for using the freeways!!! I am so tired of the tourist industry, and it is an industry, determining these kinds of things. Locals should have some power. Right now, we do not and we pay what we are told because we have no alternative. Time for us to organize and demand some fairness, at long last. This has irritated me for 30 years!!!
