Orcas Island Lions Club members have been collecting toys for the annual Toys for Tots and Tweens program to provide toys for families in need.
This year toys will be distributed to parents of Orcas Island residents children at the Eastsound Fire Hall from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 19.
Veronica San Martin, owner of Orcas Weddings and Events Party Rentals, is the Chair of the Toys for Tots Program. Toys, books, music, hats, gloves and anything you consider suitable for a teen can be donated, as well as cash donations which “are spent locally.” Checks can be made out to the Orcas Lions Club at PO Box 1212, Eastsound, WA 98245-1212.”
