Councilman Rick Hughes and the Orcas Island Senior Center will host a town hall meeting on Thursday October 24 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Senior Center, located at 62 Henry Road, Eastsound.
Councilman Hughes and Senior Services would like to hear from you. As you look toward retirement and beyond, how can we help you to stay on Orcas Island? What do you believe you will need and desire during your post retirement days? As we begin our strategic planning to include the next ten years, we want to serve you better.
Please, come prepared to share your ideas, thoughts, plans, and wishes. We need to hear from you.
Can’t be at the planning meeting, but want to suggest that renovating/repairing existing senior housing, and planning for new kinds of senior housing, are exceptionally important issues.
