Thurmond Russell is pleased to invite the community to his first solo piano and voice recital at Orcas Center in the Madrona Room on Saturday, July 27 at 5:30pm. The program will feature Robert Schumann‘s Kinderszenen, Johannes Brahms’ Op. 10 Ballades, select Franz Schubert lieder, and an original composition.
Born and raised on Orcas Island, Thurmond began his piano studies in 2020 and vocal training this year. He hopes to continue improving his skills with a future goal of composing and playing his own works.
No tickets required – Donations are appreciated and will go toward Thurmond’s continuing musical education.

I look forward to Thurmond’s recital but it seems the location, date and time were accidentally omitted from the notice. (Terrific photograph by the way!)
