— from John van Lund —
Next week, weather permitting, the east cofferdam should be completed. Then excavating for the concrete seal followed by driving the piles.
The west abutment footing is now completed, so construction crews will begin installing rebar for the abutment wall and wing walls; in addition, they will begin forming the walls. Crews will also complete the installation of the cofferdam for the east abutment, excavate the interior to footing grade, and drive structural piles.
The construction crew is well lead, works well together, and is diligent in their work. Thank you for your patience and please drive carefully.
