For my Senior Project I will be holding a Donation Drive that gives islanders the opportunity to match and donate some of their no-longer needed items directly to local nonprofit organizations in need of donations.
Receiving nonprofit organizations include the Art For Orcas Kids and Farm to Classroom programs, Children’s House and Kaleidoscope Preschools, and the Orcas Animal Shelter. There is a compiled List Of Desired Donations found on the link below.
The Drive is THIS Saturday from 12 – 5 p.m. in the basement of the Community Church. All donation items will be sorted and delivered to their new homes by myself.

This Senior Project is being conducted by Uma McMurray, an island resident of 11 years and Senior Class President at Orcas Island High School.
Super idea, Uma….maybe the idea will catch on to include other schools (pre-schools particularly, businesses, and some other of the jillions of non-profits here.
