||| FROM ROBERT KIKUCHI-YNGOJO for ETH-NOH-TEC |||

This is Nancy Wang and Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo.  You may remember the many years we produced the Orcas Storyfest.  So many of our neighbors, families, and friends enjoyed the stories under the trees, at the senior center, at the Orcas Center and the Stage on the Green. As you know, storytelling is a powerful salve to heal the hearts, light the imaginations of people and bring people into a magical place of compassionate listening. It can be an agent for community building, for healing and peace.

As you are aware, the People of Ukraine are under violent attacks and the global community is rallying to help them. Eth-Noh-Tec is hosting a very special streaming event, a fundraiser for the people of Ukraine. We’ve gathered several of our professional storytelling colleagues, members of Asian-American Storytellers in Unity ( a group we formed when the pandemic shutdown began) , along with featured guest performers Dana Sherry and Laura Simms- each of us offering stories of resilience, hope, stories that allude to the positive forces in humanity, as we rally support for the people in Ukraine.

This is a FREE online streaming event, but you must register.  Donations are optional.

Please set your calendars for April 28, 5:00 pm (PDT)
