OASIS (Orcas Alternative Student-Initiated Studies) High School Graduation at Emmanuel Episcopal Parish Hall at 2 p.m. Barry Neville and Kathy Collister will be the speakers. All are welcome to attend.

Future of Moran State Park  2-4 p.m. at the Eastsound Fire Hall. State Parks and Recreation Commission (WSPRC) is holding public meetings around the state to propose financial and operational alternatives and gather ideas from the public. Friends of Moran will host a meeting to discuss whether the State Parks system should operate more like:

  • an enterprise-based hospitality industry;
  • a public conservation asset based mostly on grant and tax funding
  • or as community non-profit entities
