The Sunflower cafe

The Sunflower Cafe, previously known as "The Main Street Bakery"

An old friend is leaving us, as the Sunflower Cafe in Eastsound will close it’s doors for the last time on September 25th. There has been a cafe at the old Washington Federal Bank building since 2003 when Julie and Christian Hogle remodeled the interior and opened the “Main Street Bakery.”

They later changed the name to the “Sunflower Cafe.”  Then in 2007 the Hogles left Orcas and sold the cafe to Heather and David  Johnson.  The Johnsons have run the cafe for the last three years maintaining the relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the casual menu enhanced with home baked goods.

The space at the very center of ‘down town’ Eastsound on the corner of Main Street and North Beach Road is one of the best locations in Eastsound. The property is owned and managed by Gudgell Prooperties. The space will be available for rent from October 1st. Contact Susan Gudgell for more information at (360) 376-2172 or susan@gudgellproperties.com.
