Orcas Center starts off its 2019-2020 season with a community production of The Lost Virginity Tour, written by Northwest Playwright Cricket Daniels and directed by Bill Alsdurf. The show centers around four friends at the Happy Trails Senior Resort Living in Surprise, Arizona who end up taking a road-trip to reminisce about their “first times.” The production stars Sandi Burt, Mia Harrison, Luann Pamatian, and Lisa Spesard.

Funny, profound, and provocative, this adventurous road trip through memory lane conjures up the choices we make that shape our lives forever – and the friendships that hold us up when we can’t walk on our own. The Lost Virginity Tour is a comedy about four women recalling their first time, mining the importance of female issues and the progress made in the past few decades.

Although a recently released play, The Lost Virginity Tour has received a lot of accolades from across the country, including praise from Dennis T. Gianco, author/composer of off-Broadway’s Disenchanted. Gianco writes,
“Cricket Daniels Lost Virginity Tour is one of those finely-written evenings of theater that both moves you to tears and has you laughing until your face hurts! Funny-as-all-heck dialogue, great female characters that any theatre performer would chomp at the bit to play, all wrapped up in a wonderful atmosphere of melancholy – Daniels’ Lost Virginity Tour is a theatrical treat that should be performed in theatres everywhere!”

The Lost Virginity Tour is rated PG-13 and runs September 12 – 21, with a matinee on September 15, in the Orcas Center Black Box. Tickets range in price from $15 to $25 to $47 at www.orcascenter.org. Get your tickets early, as there are only 60 seats available in Orcas Center’s Black Box theatre.
