“If the world is to be saved, this is how we do it.”
That quote is from a person who shared at the recent memorial for Artha Kass here at Orcas Center. So many people that day spoke about the love they experienced from Artha and those words speak to the heart of what so many of us are wondering about these days.
With that intention, please join local artist / writer Debra Lee Babcock and poet Jill McCabe Johnson to our 2nd annual Valentine’s Day event at Orcas Center, immediately following the Textile Show opening in the Madrona Room.
There’ll be an open mic sign-up sheet at the event, 5-8 minutes each, for your own work or just a favorite on the topic. Come with your friends and your beloveds, including yourself.
This a free, un-ticketed event, with donations to offered to the World Central Kitchen for California Fire Relief. https://orcascenter.org/event/lets-talk-about-love/
