Sustainable Orcas Island (SOI) members have expressed interest in meeting tomorrow, the last Wednesday of the month, the group’s regular meeting date.
Although SOI organizer Phil Heikkinen projects that the group may be small, he says, “sometimes that can lead to a productive, in-depth discussion. Morgan Meadows would like to talk about the Time Bank concept, for which she received a grant from Diane Emerson. Also, depending on who comes to the meeting, we can talk about ideas related to transportation, shelter, energy, food, and anything else of interest.
“We can also start to set up our priorities as we enter what promises to be a very interesting 2012,” Heikkinen said.
The SOI group will meet 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Orcas Island Public Library.
