Saturday, March 16, 10 – 3, Orcas School Cafeteria

— from Jane Heisinger for A-OK —

On March 16 we are holding our second annual A-OK Garage Sale to raise much needed funds to support this program.

There are items for everyone: jewelry, kitchen, collectibles, antiques, fishing reels, glass ware, art supplies, kid’s toys, sporting goods, linens, pottery, small furniture and much more.

This year we are pleased to introduce two new offerings:

Artist Alcove, a space where island artists (to name a few.. JoEllen Moldoff, Bets Nelson, Mary Jane Elgin, Carol Anderson, Leon Rosenblat, Marilee Holm, Colleen Stewart, Andrea Cohen Jean Agapoff, Robyn Gorden, Sue Roland, BJ Arnold and Dick Arnold have donated work that will be sold at rock bottom prices.

Bulletin Board listing donated items that are too large to bring to the sale. These items may be purchased and picked up at the donators’ home.

Listed Items: Lifestyle Power Recliner almost new, 12 workout station Home Gym by Body-Solid EXM3000LPS Dual Stack with the Leg Lift option, piano, etc.

Also new this year: At 2:30 attendees will be asked to leave the building for a short time while some items are marked down to ½ price. Upon returning to the sale room each person will be provided with a bag to fill up for the $5.00 and an opportunity to buy the ½ price items separately.

For the last 20 years, A*OK (and its predecessor Orcas Open Arts)—with the hard work of many volunteers and generous support from community foundations and individuals— has been able to bring art experiences to our kids and at the same time to support artists who wish to share their knowledge and love of art. Today, A*OK plays an integral role in the lives of our children and ensures that they receive a well-rounded education.

Let’s support our island’s artists of the future. Shop the A*OK Sale!
