During their regular meeting last night, the School Board officially accepted Jim Sullivan’s resignation from the Orcas Island School Board.
Tony Ghazel expressed thanks on the board’s behalf for Jim’s service. The board wishes Jim well.
The board also decided to open up the position to the public. Applications are available at the district office and a pdf of the application can be downloaded from the district website under Quick Links (to the bottom right of the page).
The deadline for turning in the application is April 24, 2014 at 3 p.m. Applications are to be turned in or mailed to the following address:

How about Justin Paulsen? After all, he received nearly 700 votes last November. A lot of people want him and he brings a new voice to the board.
