Celebrate the season with the Stormy Hildreth in concert to celebrate her CD release: Stormy Side of the Moon. Bring the whole family to the performances on Friday, December 22 at 7:30 p.m. on Center Stage.

Orcas Center is proud to present Stormy Hildreth in concert. Local singer, musician, and actor Stormy Hildreth has just released her first CD “Stormy Side of the Moon” and is excited to share it with the world. Hildreth, along with the master of all things music, Martin Lund, and Jazz band extraordinaire will delight you with a musical journey through an array of jazz standards from the newly released CD, along with some fine jazzy Christmas tunes to put you in the holiday spirit and a sneak peek of some exciting music in the works. Please join us for this momentous and festive occasion as we celebrate Stormy’s new title as a recording artist. Bring the whole family for an uplifting night of music at Orcas Center.

Stormy got her start on the Orcas Center stage approximately ten years ago at the Whale of Show. She quickly realized her passion lie as a singer and performer. Throughout the years, the Orcas Island Community has seen Stormy perform as a singer, actor, and musician in a wide variety of shows. In just this past year, Stormy has performed at the Orcas Center in Martin Lund’s Jazz Festival and One World Show, Grace McCune and Jake Perrine’s Rock of Orcas and Deborah Sparks’ Enchanted Forest. She has taken the lead in theatre playing Helen Keller in Robert Hall’s production of the Miracle Worker and supporting acting and singing roles in A Christmas Carol, Oliver, Across the Universe, Moulin Rouge, Our Town, and Rock of Orcas.

Stormy has performed with the Orcas Chamber Music group in Rob Kapilow’s, What Makes it Great. Stormy also performed in, and won, both Orcas Has Talent (junior) and Orcas Has Talent (adult). She won the adult show at 12 years old. Off island, Stormy has performed in Friday Harbor in multiple shows, including most recently in San Juan Community Theatre’s production Up Close. In 2016, Stormy performed in a music festival in Las Vegas. Stormy was honored as the recipient of the Orcas Center “Bunny” award in 2016.

When she is not on stage, Stormy attends Spring Street International School, where she is a sophomore. She takes weekly voice lessons with Grace McCune and piano with Martin Lund. She also teaches singing and piano to students of her own and will be teaching her own choir at Spring Street International during the spring 2018 semester. Aside from her music, Stormy loves traveling and her dogs.
