The Orcas Island School District Board of Directors announced a Special Meeting to approve the Consent Agenda.
Included on the Consent Agenda are approval of certificated personnel:
● Hire Elyn Andersson as a 1.0 annual FTE 1st/2nd Grade Teacher for the 2016-17 school year. Approximate annual cost: $87,500.00; includes a 38% benefit allocation.
● Accept a resignation of 0.10 annual FTE from Corey Wiscomb, Secondary Teacher, effective August 31, 2016.
● Accept a resignation of 0.20 annual FTE from Christian Hawes, OASIS K-8 Teacher, effective October 31, 2016.
● Open a 0.20 annual FTE OASIS K-8 Teacher position effective November 1, 2016 due to staff resignation. Approximate annual cost: $17,500.00; includes a 38% benefit allocation.
● Open a 0.20 annual FTE 6th Grade Math Teacher position for the 2016-17 school year. Approximate annual cost: $17,500.00; includes a 38% benefit allocation
