Buddy Mondlock (www.buddymondlock.com) is a widely acclaimed songwriter, with a star-studded list of musicians covering his work. However, Buddy and Mike have touring boasting rights of their own making. Sought after in Ireland, playing the Royal Albert Hall in London, and around the US Festival circuit, these two bring an elegance to the folk world. In songs that have been called “an express lane to the heart” (Lucy Myers, the Blue Heron) you might find a single snowflake following the trajectory of a relationship, get your pocket picked by a Roman cat, or find a place where dreams that don’t come true still count.

Legendary songwriter Guy Clark heard Buddy singing at the Kerrville Folk Festival and opened the door for Buddy to a career writing songs in Nashville. Since then, artists such as Nanci Griffith, Janis Ian, Peter, Paul and Mary, David Wilcox, and even Garth Brooks have sung his songs to the masses. Another legend, Townes Van Zandt, said of Buddy: “Buddy Mondlock writes beautiful songs and plays the kind of guitar they deserve. He’s a fine person and a fine artist.”

We are so fortunate to have Buddy and Mike coming to our Island right here in the dregs of winter. Bring a friend, and prepare for your soul be lifted!
