John Groves Jazz Combo and Soul Getaway bring the jazz & funk to Orcas Island October 17 & 18. A fun weekend ahead for live music lovers on Orcas Island featuring live, jazz, funk, disco to R&B and Soul.
First up on Friday, October 17 at 6:00 PM is Seattle area based jazz quartet John Groves Jazz
Combo makes a special appearance at Rosario Resort featuring one of Orcas Islands own Melody Funk on bass and vocals. It will be a great fall evening of classic jazz standards at beautiful Rosario Resort in the Moran Lounge. Open to all and no cover charge.
The following night Saturday, October 18 at 8pm the jazz combo converts to the funky Soul Getaway band adding three members to its ranks to form the seven piece funky, R&B, Disco, Soul dance band Soul Getaway. Soul Getaway rocks hit songs to life by Chicago, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, Blues Brothers and many more fun tunes that show case the live horn section and high energy vocals.
Soul Getaway will perform at Random Howse on Saturday the 18th show starts at 8:00 PM.
All ages and no cover.
