— from Mandy Troxel —
Orcas Singer Songwriter Mandy Troxel’s much anticipated album, If Only Words Could Keep Me Warm, is now available at Darvill’s Bookstore. On Thursday, March 20 at 4pm, Mandy will talk about the making of the album, as well as play an acoustic set at Darvill’s Bookstore. Save the date also for April 12 at 7pm at the Random Howse, as Mandy celebrates the new album with a number of special guests.
Mandy has established a devoted local following with songs of uncompromising honesty and empathy, whether it is singing about lost love or blackberry pie. This new album marks the end of a 10-year musical hiatus, and fans have deemed it worth the wait.
Susan Osborne writes: ” Mandy Troxel is the real deal. A songwriter who writes simply and elegantly of the bittersweetness of life and relationship, and a singer whose clear, unadorned voice cuts to the heart. We are blessed to have this beautiful bouquet of songs.”
