||| FROM SAN JUAN MAKERS GUILD |||
This Spring the San Juan Makers Guild is busy launching the online countywide Makers Directory and is hosting an important interactive Asset Mapping project to help strengthen the Maker Community.
There is NO COST to use these tools – we encourage and support information sharing and community building. Maker business owners and manufacturers, start-ups, DIY hobbyists, educators, and support organizations are all welcome. A big thanks to the USDA Rural Business Development Grant program and the San Juan County Economic Development Council for their launch support.
Help us get the ball rolling!
So far, we’ve had 56 makers on three islands use the Asset Mapping and Directory listing tools – our goal is 200. Open to all professional, DIY, organization, and educator Makers.
Why Participate? The purpose of the Asset Mapping is to increase awareness of the many Maker activities humming along across all fields and industries. Who is making what? Where? What services and resources do San Juan’s makers offer or need? How can the Makers Guild and our community partners help meet or match-up those needs?
