||| FROM EDEE KULPER |||
Join Edee Kulper and fellow community members on the sidewalk in Eastsound where Main Street and North Beach Road intersect this Sunday at 12:30 o’clock for a silent protest of Trump’s decisions.
Nothing needed – just show up. Spread the word… (Any argument or discussion on social media or the street will be declined.)

Good plan, Edee!! However, I don’t feel like being silent. I feel like screaming.
As someone who in the past stood at many, and I mean weekly, SILENT protests,( or more appropriately VIGILS, )I can attest to the power of SILENCE.
This was exemplified when WOMEN IN BLACK became the international vehicle of choice for protest of the kind we need now. I urge people to visit their website in advance of any gathering for many beneficial tips .
SILENCE repels argument, attack and escalation. Wearing BLACK signifies a state of mourning and speaks volumes itself, Standing side by side in that milieu and company we support one another and let our hearts speak as loudly as with screams.
The Orcas branch of the Lutheran Church in the San Juans will be singing at our usual service at 1:15pm on Sunday in Emmanuel Episcopal, where we are in our 50th year of islands’ presence.
All are welcome to come and join us.
