Due to a shortage of Coast Guard documented crew, the #1 Suquamish and the #2 Yakima will be out of service the remainder of the service day (Friday, September 10).
This cancels the following sailings:
• 5:15 p.m. Anacortes to Lopez
• 6:20 p.m. Lopez to Anacortes
• 6:30 p.m. Friday Harbor to Anacortes
• 7:25 p.m. Anacortes to Shaw
• 8:20 p.m. Shaw to Orcas
• 8:20 p.m. Anacortes to Friday Harbor
• 8:50 p.m. Orcas to Anacortes
• 10:00 p.m. Friday Harbor to Orcas
• 10:50 p.m. Orcas to Shaw
• 11:00 p.m. Shaw to Lopez
• 11:20 p.m. Lopez to Anacortes
Customers are highly encouraged to postpone all discretionary travel, if possible. Existing reservation holders who still need to travel will be prioritized and loaded on a first-come, first-served basis. New reservations on the route will be closed to try to keep enough space open to accommodate existing reservation holders. Customers who choose to delay their travel for today will not incur a no-show fee. Please note that standby space will be extremely limited.
WSF is making every attempt to accommodate reservation holders on their reserved sailing and those affected by the cancelled sailings, but customers may encounter extended waits and there is a chance that some may be unable to travel this evening.

There is so much misinformation about vaccines going around. It began a long time ago with a medical doctor/researcher who just made up data about vaccination causing autism. His fraud was exposed. He lost his medical license. He was banned from ever receiving biomedical grants. But his lies live on in the social media. My step-daughter was afraid to let her daughter have the required (yes, required) vaccinations to begin school. Her father, an arrogant professor said, “Don’t be an idiot. Vaccinate my grandchild.” Of course, this didn’t work so he asked me to help. I was patient and found out what my stepdaughter’s fears were. I patiently addressed them, and she agreed to vaccinate her daughter. Now my step-granddaughter is an amazing young woman recently graduated from college. There have been some vaccine side effects for the covid-19 vaccines, but the severe ones are rare. It is the job of our healthcare people to be able to recognize and treat these rare severe vaccine side effects. There are so many rumored side effects that are just not real.
