||| FROM JENNY DEGROOT for CHILDREN’S HOLIDAY CRAFT FAIR |||
Please join us on Sunday, December 8th from noon to 2 pm for the 11th annual Children’s Holiday Craft Fair. Local artisans, aged 6 to 18 years, will be selling their handmade wares at the Orcas Island Public Library with prices ranging from 25 cents to $10. What better way to support young island entrepreneurs and take home original, locally-made items at affordable prices?
Previous years’ crafts have included: holiday gift cards, hand-dipped candles, container plants, driftwood sculptures, hand-sewn ornaments, knitted/ felted items, jewelry, baked goods, and so much more. Last year I purchased a beautiful pair of pickle earrings I’m sure wouldn’t be found anywhere else.
Come early, bring cash, and take home handmade treasures to give away or gift yourself!
