SHIBA, the program that assists people with Medicare, is looking for volunteers! We need an additional counselor to help people navigate the Medicare process. If you enjoy helping others, can explain things clearly, and are comfortable using computers, this could be a great way to give back to your community.
We also need a volunteer to help schedule appointments. Most of the year, this involves returning phone messages on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and setting up appointments on our shared Google calendar. During Medicare Open Enrollment (7 weeks), messages need to be checked daily.
