Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to a trespassing call. A trespass warning letter was issued to the suspect.
20-004176 Death Investigation 13:37:09 06/03/20
San Juan Deputies responded to a death investigation. It appears the male died of natural causes & no crime is suspected at this time. Report made and forwarded to the Coroner.

An Orcas Island resident reported an anchor taken from his moored boat. A report was taken.
20-004181 Civil Problem 16:38:05 06/03/20
A Deputy received a malicious mischief complaint from a Decatur Island resident. The investigation revealed another resident damaged a tree while on a public road which was located on his property. The matter was resolved after the victim subsequently declined pursuing a criminal complaint.

Deputies investigated a possible burglary on Orcas Island. The situation appeared to be a civil landlord tenant dispute. An informational report was taken.

An unleashed dog received minor injuries after being struck by a car on Lopez.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a single vehicle accident in Moran State Park. An accident report was filed.

A San Juan Deputy issued tickets to owners of vessels who failed to obtain a permit for the San Juan County Dock.

A Deputy on Orcas Island received a request to contact Child Protective Services about a complaint. An information report was filed.
20-004220 Domestic Dispute or Assault 09:22:23 06/05/20
A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to a domestic violence call in Eastsound. An investigation determined no crime occurred. A report was filed.

A Lopez Deputy was called to look at damage sustained to a local marina dock. While information was provided by the boater in order to make repairs, a report was also completed.

A Lopez Deputy was called about an obvious scam email. The caller was advised to route these to their spam folder and to never provide personal information.

Deputies on San Juan responded to a report of a domestic violence incident. The investigation found it was verbal only and no crime was committed. Report made.

A Lopez Island resident turned in a cell phone found along an island roadway. A Deputy logged it in as found property pending identification of its rightful owner. An information report was taken.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of a stolen sign. The complainant was contacted and a report taken.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a fraud complaint. A report was taken.

A Lopez Deputy checked the village after seeing a suspicious male lurking about during the late night hours.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called about a landlord-tenant dispute.

A Deputy took a report of a found wallet in Friday Harbor. A short time later the owner of the wallet came into the station and the wallet with its contents was returned to the owner. Report made.

A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to an unemployment fraud in Eastsound. A report was filed.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called to euthanize an injured deer that had been struck by a car. The deer was dead when the Deputy arrived. Public Works was called to remove the carcass from the roadside.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called regarding an injured deer in the road. The deer was gone when the Deputy arrived.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to Harassing Phone Calls in the Friday Harbor area. The caller and his family have been receiving threatening calls from a known person for two years. The caller was advised how to obtain a civil order and report was taken.

A Deputy on San Juan responded to a report of an assault. A subject was arrested for assault 4th degree and obstructing law enforcement.

A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a village business on a 911 hang up call. The business was checked, and no problem was discovered.

A Deputy was contacted by a local entity in reference to a Possible Theft. The entity reported that someone might be using their utilities without permission. Entity requested additional area checks. Report taken.

A Deputy responded to a burglary and property damage incident at the Lopez Island Academy. Evidence at the scene indicated juveniles were likely involved.
