An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a found property call. A laptop computer was located in the Deer Harbor area. The owner of the laptop was located and the computer was returned to the rightful owner.

A San Juan Deputy took a report of a potentially stolen laptop. The incident was documented.

A Deputy on Orcas Island was assigned a Citizen Assist. The caller was seeking advice on getting help for an aging parent. The Deputy was able to link the caller to local and state resources.

A San Juan Deputy took a report of theft from a farm stand. The incident was documented.
24-005886 Domestic Dispute or Assault 15:44:23 09/07/24
Lopez Deputies responded to a domestic call that a driver observed and reported while passing by. Upon investigation, it turned out to be an elderly woman scolding her adult son. No further action was necessary.

A Lopez Deputy was dispatched to the ferry terminal for a disorderly conduct incident. A person was displaying behavioral health concerns. A family member took over driving for the person and they departed the island.

An infraction was issued to a Friday Harbor man for Dog at Large 2nd offense.
24-005896 Accident-Injury, Traffic 14:27:15 09/08/24
Deputies were dispatched to the Roche Harbor resort for a report of a collision between a bus and a car at the boat launch inside the resort. After an investigation, the driver of the car was cited for Driving While Suspended 3rd.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took custody of a found cell phone. The owner was aware of the lost phone, however, they were back home at their residence off island. The phone was placed into evidence as found property. A report was completed.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9

An Orcas Island resident complained about someone sending them abusive text messages. There were no direct threats. The recipient was not put in reasonable fear for their self, loved ones or property, and therefore no crime had been committed.

A Deputy on Orcas took a report of possible vagrancy.
24-005926 Citizen Dispute 18:51:28 09/09/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of someone vandalizing a residence. The suspect was injured during the incident and flown off Island for further treatment. The suspect was later charged with disorderly conduct and malicious mischief in the first degree.
