A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a suspicious circumstance complaint after the 911 center received a call from a what sounded like a confused person. The Deputy contacted the caller and determined he was suffering from a medical condition. The subject was flown to a mainland hospital by EMS for evaluation.

A Lopez Island Deputy received a burglary/theft complaint from a former Center Island resident on 09/16/15. It was determined that the home that was reportedly burglarized had been recently foreclosed on. An investigation is being conducted to determine whether the items were actually stolen.

On 09/17/15 at 0928 hours I responded to the Christian Science Church reference garbage left at the back of the church. There were no identifying items in the garbage and no witnesses to it being left. The complainant said they would get rid of the trash and will call if it happens again. No further information.

A Lopez Island Deputy spoke with a business owner on 09/17/15 regarding an unwanted person complaint. The owner requested that the unwanted person be told they were no longer allowed to enter the business.

On 09/17/15 an employee from the Animal shelter in Friday Harbor, WA. felt threatened by an e-mail she received from a Langley B.C. man. The man had his application for adopting a cat denied due to his belligerent behavior toward the employee. I advised her to seek a restraining order.

A Lopez Island Deputy received a suspicious circumstance complaint on 09/17/15. The reporting person called after a customer delivered an item for mechanical service and the ownership of the item was not clearly established. The customer claimed he found the item. An investigation is being conducted.

On September 18, 2015 at about 1630 hours, I responded to an Eastsound address in regards to an on-going civil matter from an employer to an employee. Both parties have been advised to go through the proper civil processes. An informational report was taken due to so many calls generated.

A Friday Harbor citizen reported his vehicle was stolen from downtown Friday Harbor. Deputies located the vehicle in the area of Golf Course road and Cattle Point.

On 09/19/15 the reporting deputy was dispatched to the San Juan Island area in reference to a Citizen Dispute. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted both parties. It was determined that the incident was Civil in nature but both parties were advised not to contact each other.

On Sunday, September 20, 2015, Lopez deputies were dispatched to a naked man behaving violently. The subject was contacted and continued to behave erratically. A Taser was deployed to help take him into protective custody. The man was flown off island for a medical and mental evaluation.

On the morning of 09-20-2015, this Deputy met with a San Juan Island resident reference possible vandalism to his vehicle. The vehicle had damage to the windshield consistent with ball strikes. The vehicle had been parked overnight at a location on Spring Street. No suspects at this time.

On 9/20/15 an Orcas Deputy was dispatched to a burglary that had occurred some time in the past 2 years.

On 09/20/15 the complainant reported a vandalism to one their apt. units at their apartment complex located on Guard St. in Friday Harbor, WA. The front door was damaged and food items left behind. The owners do not want prosecution. They request the subject they believe responsible to be trespassed.

On 09/20/15 a SJC Deputy recognized and arrested a female on Orcas Island who had an active SJC Warrant. The subject was cooperative. She was transported and booked into jail in Friday Harbor.

On September 21, 2015, a Lopez resident reported missing electronic items. Upon further investigation, it was found that items were likely taken in another county.

On 09/22/15 at 1415 hours we served an EX Parte Restraining Order on a Friday Harbor male. The restraining order included the male subject having to forfeit his firearms and other weapons. The order was served without incident and the subject left his premises immediately.

On 09/22/15 the reporting deputy was dispatched to the Friday Harbor area in reference to a Disturbance. The reporting deputy arrived and made contact with the suspect. The suspect had a local warrant for his arrest. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the San Juan holding facility.

On 09/24/15 an employee at the Courthouse reported a hit and run to her vehicle. The vehicle was parked in the courthouse parking lot. This occurred between 09/16/15 at 0730 hours and 09/22/15 at 1800 hours. Damage was done to the rear passenger side. Ongoing investigation.

A Lopez Island Deputy responded to an unwanted, possibly intoxicated, person complaint on 09/25/15. The reporting person stated the involved person became hostile when she attempted to assist him. The subject subsequently apologized and said he did not intend to be rude. There was no evidence of alcohol use.

On 09/25/15 a SJC Sheriff Deputy was performing a business check in Eastsound when a person known to have a warrant out of Skagit County was identified. The female subject was arrested and transported to Friday Harbor without incident.

A Lopez Island deputy was called to an unwanted person on September 26. Neighbors called to report a motor home parked overnight in a residential area, after they had asked the subject to leave the previous day. Upon contact by the deputy, the subject drove away.

An Eastsound woman reported that she hit by her adult son. The son was arrested for domestic assault.

A Lopez Island deputy was called to a suspicious circumstance on September 26. Residents near a vacant property reported the arrival of a motor home and three men with no apparent business in the area.

On 09/26/15 SJC Sheriff Deputies located a wanted person at a residence in Eastsound. The male subject was arrested and transported to Friday Harbor without further incident.

On September 27, 2015, a Lopez deputy responded to a dog at large. The dog was
boarded in a kennel and released to the owners the following morning.

A number of items were removed from the found property bin in dispatch and taken
to the Evidence room for storage/disposal as appropriate. The only items of
apparent value were a small gold color bracelet, a small gold color ring and an
ipod with a $20 bill tucked into the case. Items will be destroyed or donated

On 09/29/15 the reporting deputy was contacted about Animals at Large in the San
Juan Island area. The caller reported that the neighbors goats are coming onto
his property. Today one of the goats was aggressive.

On 09/29/15 the reporting deputy was contacted via the phone in reference to a
Fraud in the San Juan Island area. The victim reported that a relative called
and stated they had been arrested. Money was requested and sent for the release
of the relative. Investigation discovered relative had never been arrested.

15-005882 Accident-HitRun 20:02:21 09/29/15
On 09/29/15 the reporting party contact the reporting deputy at the Sheriff’s
office in reference to a Hit and Run. The reporting party advised that while
his daughter was pulling away from the curb, their vehicle was struck by another
vehicle. The suspect vehicle continued on without stopping.

On 09/29/15 the reporting deputy was dispatched to a possible Domestic in the
Friday Harbor area. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the caller. The
other involved party had already left the scene. The event was verbal in nature
and the caller was going to stay at another location.
