San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a burglary in Friday Harbor. During the investigation, Deputies located two buildings which had been vandalized as well as multiple vehicle prowls. The suspects were later located.
20-007948 Malicious Mischief 12:02:37 09/16/20
A Deputy responded to a report of a vandalism to the callers mailbox. The caller stated his mailbox was damaged sometime overnight. The Deputy took photos, bent the mailbox back into shape, and completed a report. There are no suspects or workable leads at this time.
20-007950 Controlled Substance Problem 12:17:41 09/16/20
A Deputy on Orcas Island received a call for found drug paraphernalia in Eastsound. The items were collected and placed in property for destruction.

A Decatur Island resident reported an attempted fraud scam call received. No personal identifying information was given and no financial loss occurred. Report made.

Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the Eastsound area. No crime was found to be committed. One of the involved individuals was connected with a designated crisis responder with Compass Heath. An informational report was taken.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a trespassing complaint. The suspect was later located and issued a trespass warning letter.

A San Juan Deputy stopped a motorcycle for traveling 82 MPH in a posted 45 MPH speed zone. The rider was issued an infraction for speed.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a threat complaint. An informational report was filed.

Deputies responded to a Lopez Island residence for a report of yelling. One of the involved individuals had conditions of release for a recent arrest and the report was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.

A Lopez Deputy was notified of a decommissioned fire vehicle being driven with red lights still attached. The driver was contacted, and is leaving Washington state.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a long running disturbance between a mother and son. Both parties were encouraged to politely discuss their concerns. An informational report was completed.

A Lopez Deputy was contacted regarding a civil issue between a homeowner and a renter. Solutions were offered.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded along with Orcas Fire and EMS personnel to a missing person complaint. The victim was located unharmed in a wooded area not far from her residence.

A Lopez man was trespassed from a grocery store after the manager observed him making inappropriate comments to female staff members.

The reporting Deputy was dispatched to a Malicious Mischief in the Friday Harbor area. The caller was contacted and described their vehicle being damaged. Photos were taken and a report completed. No further information at this time.

The reporting Deputy was dispatched to a Dog Bite in the San Juan Island area. The owner and the victim were contacted. Bite report was completed.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of vandalism in Friday Harbor. Deputies checked the area but no suspects were located. Report made.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of a customer leaving a restaurant without paying. The owner did not wish to pursue theft charges, but asked that the person be trespassed.

The reporting Deputy was contacted in reference to a Hit and Run Accident. The caller advised their vehicle had been damaged. No suspect or evidence at this time. Report taken.

An Orcas Island Deputy conducted an area check at the West Sound County Dock. At about 2345 hours there was a vessel located at the dock which had been issued numerous infractions for unlawful overnight moorage before. The Deputy issued the vessel an infraction.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to assist Shaw EMS with a person suffering from depression. The person was given a courtesy transport to Peace Island Medical Center in Friday Harbor.

The reporting Deputy was dispatched to a Welfare Check in the Friday Harbor area. The person was contacted and was found to be intoxicated in violation of a court order. Report taken.
