24-006566 Burglary – Residential 05:25:11 10/09/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a residential burglary complaint. The Deputy determined the complaint was unfounded. The complainant was referred to a local agency for assistance and support.

24-006570 Fraud 11:04:13 10/09/24
A San Juan Deputy took a report of Fraud on Orcas Island. The reporting party advised they had incurred a loss of funds and reported the breach to their financial institutions. No suspect information was available. A report was generated.

24-006572 Court Order Violation 12:13:08 10/09/24
A San Juan Deputy working on Orcas Island responded to a report of a violation of a court order. The incident was investigated, and a report was generated.

24-006578 Fraud 17:58:25 10/09/24
An Orcas Island Deputy took a report of a compromised debit card. The reporting parties debit card was used at Costco in Oregon and Nebraska. The reporting party does not know how her card was accessed. A report was authored, and the investigation is ongoing.

24-006583 Mental Health 20:12:16 10/09/24
A Lopez Deputy responded to a mental call. A referral to Compass Health and APS was made.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10
24-006586 Agency Assistance 08:29:58 10/10/24
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to an Agency Assist. Compass Health & Lopez Island Fire & EMS were present when an individual was contacted. The incident was documented.

24-006597 Trespassing 14:20:49 10/10/24
An Orcas Island Deputy spoke with a homeowner on the 100 block of Haven Rd. about transient problems. Several Trespass Warning letters were generated.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11
24-006604 Unwanted Person 01:48:55 10/11/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of an unwanted person. The Deputy gave the person a trespass warning letter and informed the person that they would be subject to arrest for trespass if they returned.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12
24-006639 Vicious Animal 13:03:56 10/12/24
A Lopez resident reported that one sheep had been attacked in their yard during the overnight hours by an unknown dog. The sheep was euthanized as a result of its injuries.

24-006652 Parking Problem 19:38:46 10/12/24
An Orcas Island Deputy investigated a parking problem at the Obstruction Pass County Dock, located at, 2000 Obstruction Pass Rd. A truck towing a boat with trailer was parked in the day parking area for over two weeks. The vehicle and boat were tagged with a 24 hour notice to remove.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13
24-006655 Accident-Injury, Traffic 00:53:02 10/13/24
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Tall Trees Trail and Lindsay Way, Eastsound WA. The accident resulted in the vehicle operator being transported by medical flight off the island for further medical treatment. The collision is being investigated.

24-006661 Domestic Dispute or Assault 11:38:10 10/13/24
A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the San Juan Island area. The Deputy arrived and spoke with the people involved. One person was arrested for Assault 4th DV and booked into custody. Report taken.

24-006662 Burglary – Residential 13:18:30 10/13/24
Deputies were dispatched to a Burglary in the San Juan Island area. Deputy arrived and contacted the person calling. Several items were missing from a residence. No suspect information at this time. Report taken.

24-006673 Accident-HitRun 17:35:01 10/13/24
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a report of hit and run vehicle accident at the West Sound Marina, located at 525 Deer Harbor Rd. Unfortunately, unable to locate any information about the accident. A case number was created for future reference.

24-006674 Theft 17:38:56 10/13/24
A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a theft from a retail store in town. The store had video of the suspect taking an item. The suspect was located and the stolen property was recovered.

24-006675 Found Property 19:06:16 10/13/24
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a report of found property. Efforts to return the property to its owner are underway.

24-006676 Weapons Noise 21:51:36 10/13/24
A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of weapon noise. The Deputy discovered that fireworks were left in the roadway in the area of the complaint. The Deputy took photos and disposed of the spent fireworks. Currently there are no suspects.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 14
24-006680 Weapon Safekeeping 10:38:57 10/14/24
A firearm was turned into the Sheriff’s Office for safekeeping.

24-006681 Malicious Mischief 11:41:01 10/14/24
A Lopez church reported vandalism, likely caused by a local person without housing. A report was completed, and the doors will now be locked.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15
24-006696 Accident-HitRun 11:41:59 10/15/24
A Detective was dispatched to a report of a hit and run on private property. An investigation was completed and the incident was documented.
