A Friday Harbor resident was arrested for violating a protection order by coming within 25′ of the protected parties residence. The male was transported and booked into the jail pending a hearing with the judge.
24-007021 Sick or Injured Animal 13:23:08 10/30/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island received report that a citizen was concerned about the living conditions of some horses. The Deputy observed that the conditions were appropriate at this time.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31
24-007033 Vehicle Theft 12:08:03 10/31/24
A San Juan Deputy took a report of vehicle theft. The reporting party was not the registered owner. This incident is still under investigation.
24-007039 Trespassing 16:27:01 10/31/24
A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a trespass complaint. This case is still under investigation.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1
24-007044 Accident-NonInj 01:49:28 11/01/24
Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a single vehicle collision. The vehicle had been there for some time. The driver was identified and charged with leaving the scene of an accident – property damage, no proof of liability
insurance and expired registration over 2 months.
24-007048 Theft 09:24:52 11/01/24
The Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip through Tip411 about the possible theft of election signs. The investigation led to a juvenile taking numerous signs. Most of the signs were recovered and a report was
forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for charging decision.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2
24-007071 Accident-Injury, Traffic 16:42:55 11/02/24
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a collision involving an automated iPhone call. No crash appeared to have occurred, but a phone was located in a ditch with a broken screen. It appears that the phone fell from a
moving vehicle.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 3
24-007080 Found Property 11:15:47 11/03/24
A stroller was turned into the Sheriff’s Office by a San Juan Island resident after it was left across from their house something around Halloween. The stroller was placed into the property and evidence room.
24-007086 Theft 13:51:43 11/03/24
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a report of theft, in the 1000 block of Crow Valley Rd., Eastsound, WA. A case number was created. Additional patrols will be performed in that area.
24-007087 Theft 15:17:14 11/03/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of possible stolen property. An individual was moving out from where they had been living and could not find their medications, they believed a family member knew where they were.
A report was completed.
24-007093 Domestic Dispute or Assault 20:28:27 11/03/24
A Deputy on San Juan took a report of a domestic incident in which the parties had separated. After speaking with the reporting party, Deputies responded to speak with the other involved party. After an investigation, it was
determined that a crime had not occurred. A report was completed.
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4
24-007097 Theft 10:05:52 11/04/24
A Lopez resident report the theft of packages delivered the evening of 10/31. There is no suspect information at this time. A report was completed.
24-007111 Assault – Body Force 16:38:31 11/04/24
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a physical fight between two males on a sidewalk in Friday Harbor. A report was completed.
24-007114 Harassment 22:03:44 11/04/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report from a female who was in a crisis and did not feel safe. The next day, the individual compass health got involved and issued a pick-up order. The female was taken to the hospital with
out incident.
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5
24-007117 Accident-NonInj 07:46:14 11/05/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a traffic collision. One vehicle was involved and there were no injuries. The Deputy completed a state collision report.
24-007118 Communications Problem 07:53:35 11/05/24
An Orcas Island Deputy took a report of scam email demanding $2000 in Bitcoin from the victim with the threat of installing Ransome/Malware on the victim’s computer. The victim did not incur any loss. A report was authored.
24-007121 Theft 11:39:18 11/05/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a theft of 2 traffic cones. Currently there are no suspects.
24-007128 Citizen Assist 12:39:09 11/05/24
A Deputy on San Juan had contact with a female who appeared to be in a mental health crisis. After hours of trying to make a safety plan with the female, it was determined by Compass Health to issue a involuntary pick-up
order. The female went to the hospital with out incident. Report completed.
24-007130 Area Check 13:59:57 11/05/24
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a request for an area check. A resident in the 50 block of Harrison Point Rd., Eastsound, WA. Heard sounds of someone screaming. Unable to locate any one in the area. Additional patrols will
be performed in that area.
24-007137 Malicious Mischief 17:26:34 11/05/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a malicious mischief. This case is still under investigation.
